Mommy & Me (ages 1-2):  This class is a parent-training class held once each month on a weeknight.  Parents are encouraged to bring their child to this class and learn how to start an early reading program at home for their child with Down syndrome or other developmental delay.  Take home materials are provided to the parents.  There is no charge for this class, but parents will be given a "school supply" list and will be expected to attend a minimum number of classes.

Play 2 Learn (ages 3-5):  This class (days yet to be determined) will be a small group instruction class which will address Kindergarten-readiness skills in children with intellectual disabilities.  A certified teacher will conduct the class with the help of trained volunteers.  Take-home materials will be provided to continue reinforcement at home.

One-on-One Tutoring (ages 6-18):  One-on-one tutoring sessions with certified, trained teachers will be scheduled at the REACH Center for students in the elementary & secondary grade range to target specific academic needs.  A number of sessions will be available at no charge with the option to schedule more sessions at a significantly reduced rate.

Lifelong Learning (ages 19-up):  One-on-one instruction sessions for adults with  Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities will be provided by adult volunteer tutors to address specific needs of the student.  Emphasis on a number of skills can be addressed including:  reading, calculation, computer skills, budgeting, etc.  Retention can sometimes be an issue with adults with intellectual disabilities, so this is also an opportunity for those adults to keep those skills already in their possession sharp.

Adult Workshops:  Several workshops will be held throughout the year for adults with disabilities to target specific issues.  Suggestions for workshops are welcome.  Speakers will be professionals from the community.  Topics already under consideration are Nutrition, Dating & Marriage, My Checkbook.

Parent Training:  The REACH Center is dedicated to training parents as well as their children.  Workshops are offered throughout the year on a variety of issues and topics.  For more information on what workshops are offered, please make sure you are registered as a member of RRVDSS and recieve a quarterly newsletter and e-mail updates.  To become a member, click here.
